Calls to Action That Work

go

Elements in marketing that help convert leads are referred to as “Calls to Action.”  These elements are added to your marketing in order to better convert leads, while giving prospective clients an incentive to contact you.  If you have no calls to action in your marketing to grab your readers’ attention, how can you expect them to move forward in contacting you with further questions?

Let’s take a look at a few examples of good calls to action that you can use in your online marketing:

  • Highlight a specific paragraph or section of your website. For example, you can include a brightly colored button on a specific paragraph that says “Click here for more information” or “More info here…” This button will make that specific paragraph stand out, and provide a particular call to action for the user to follow.  So, if you want someone to click on the button to find out more information about foreclosures, they can do so.  The point is to use clear, consice calls to action to move people through your site in a subtle way.

  • Include a contact form. One of the most common methods of calls to action in online marketing is a contact form.  This form can take many different variations in layout but typically includes the following information:  name, address, phone number, email, and a comments field for the user to tell you exactly what they’re looking for.  Why are these forms useful?  Because most clients will tend to utilize a contact form or email to get in touch with you first rather than the phone.

  • Free Report Signups. Including a form for a free report signup requires a client to provide their email address before being re-directed to a specific page where they can download the free report.  This call to action is very effective as it works as a “give and take.” They give you the information that you want, while they take the information they want by downloading the report – it’s a win, win situation.
  • Overall, you can have the most comprehensive, content driven online marketing in the business, but if you don’t have clear, concise ways for someone to take action on your marketing, you will have difficulties with converting leads. Effective calls to action will help you guide prospects further along the path to becoming a future client.
