Homes.com rises to number three in comScore rankings Real estate Web site surpasses Zillow in homebuyer traffic

NORFOLK, Va., February 12th, 2010 – Homes.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, announced today that the Homes.com & ForRent.com Network moved up one position in comScore traffic rankings to number three, surpassing Zillow.

Propelling this upward movement is the record homebuyer traffic in January 2010 on Homes.com, the flagship consumer real estate Web site of the Homes.com & ForRent.com Network. Approximately 5.5 million consumers visited Homes.com in January 2010, the highest traffic month ever recorded for the Web site, representing a 75 percent increase over January 2009. This record number of unique visitors viewed nearly 100 million pages on the site, also an all-time record.

In addition to record Web site traffic, Homes.com continues to break records in mobile search. More than 2.2 million pages were viewed via Homes.com’s iPhone app, the highest total page views since the release of the app. Through Homes.com’s suite of apps and mobile Web sites, covering virtually all mobile handsets, mobile homebuyers accessed more than 3.8 million mobile page views in January, a 31 percent increase over the previous month.

“Our top three ranking by comScore is validation of our efforts towards making Homes.com the leading destination for consumers to find a home.” says Jason Doyle, vice president of Homes.com.
