Are you looking for a way to be set apart and snag leads from the rest of your competition? What about uploading 3D home tours?
It may sound crazy, but 3D isn’t just for movie theatres and home entertainment centers anymore. You can now experience 3D videos on your computer – YouTube is now offering the option to upload videos in 3D!
No, this isn’t a belated April Fool’s joke. This month, YouTube expanded a beta version of this new feature to all YouTube users. Now, the video uploading site is providing you with the opportunity to automatically convert short-form videos uploaded in 1080p to 3D. If you’ve been using YouTube to upload videos of homes you’re listing, this could make you stand out (literally!) against other agents in your area.
- Upload the video as normal.
- Click on the gear icon of the YouTube player (“Quality Settings”).
- Select “3D Viewing”.
- Put on your 3D glasses and enjoy.
There is a tiny drawback, however. You need to make sure you have 3D glasses on hand to view your videos. Luckily, 3D viewing within households is becoming more common these days, so the required 3D glasses are very inexpensive to procure. You can find them for mere pennies on Amazon or through other online outlets such as 3D Glasses Online.
This will be an adjustment, but it’s definitely something fun to think about. What do you think? Will you take advantage of this feature, or are you comfortable sticking with 2D videos? We want to know what you think!
