Google is approaching some really sci-fi level functionality. Over the next few years, Google’s advanced A.I. systems will be integrated into our homes, cars, and devices, allowing you to easily play music, buy tickets, schedule a meeting, or find information anywhere, anytime, with just a simple vocal command. In the meantime, we have Google Allo, the smart messaging app that incorporates the Google Assistant to connect you with your Google Suite on the go. In this installment of Google for Real Estate, you’ll learn how Google Allo can improve your communications, where to get Allo, what it can do, how it can assist your business, and more.
What is Google Allo?
Google Allo is “A smart messaging app that helps you say more and do more.” More specifically, Allo is an easy-to-use messaging app that gives you the ability to resize messages, doodle on images, incorporate the Google Assistant into your text messages, and chat in “incognito mode,” in addition to the basic benefits most messaging apps offer.
Why use it?
Unlike some messaging apps, Allo works for both Android and iOS systems. Allo also doesn’t require your contacts to download the app to communicate with you—they can respond to your Allo messages through their existing SMS (text messaging) system!

How does it apply to real estate?
In real estate, response time is crucial to conversion. Contacting your leads and prospects too slowly costs you opportunities. Allo makes responding to new requests quicker and communicating with existing clients faster, allowing you to get back to what you’re doing quickly. Also, the more you use Allo, the more accurate your smart reply options become. Allo learns how you respond to different types of messages and offers suggested responses based on past communications, which you can click to send.
Google Assistant is an advanced A.I. program integrated into Allo that can offer you suggestions on homes for sale, weather, your calendar, and more. It is also a great way to plan meetings with new leads or collaborate with clients! Is your new buyer confused about the difference between different loan types? You can add the Google Assistant to your chat and ask about it. Results will appear right in the chat.
Keep your communications private with Incognito mode. Need to share your lockbox code with a buyer’s agent? Send it to them in Allo and set an expiration time to have the code disappear 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week after the buyer’s agent receives it. You can also use incognito mode to send and receive messages you would rather not have previewed on your phone’s screen.
