The U.S. Census Bureau reported today that new single-family home sales are up just under 20% from 2011 to 2012. The total? 367,000 new homes were sold last year. Seeing an increase in home sales is always a plus, but this is especially positive news because this is the first annual gain for home sales in seven years.

Is it true that the housing market crash may be a thing of the past - If the National Association of Realtors has anything to say about it, yes!
NAR has released their prediction for the housing market for this year. According to the association, existing-home sales will jump 7 to 10 percent this year. This will put home sales at the highest they’ve been in five years!
On top of that, pending-home sales in February were up 9.2 percent from last year. There is no doubt that 2012 is shaping up to be a stellar year for the housing market.
