Homes.com Drives Most Traffic to Top Real Estate Franchise Sites

High level of consumer engagement produces gains in visit time, page views

NORFOLK, Va., April 11, 2011Homes.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, reported that it was the #1 source of traffic (after major search engines) to four of the top five real estate franchise websites in March.

According to Experian Hitwise, a leading online metrics firm, Homes.com is the #1 traffic source following the major search engines, driving traffic to RE/MAX.com, century21.com, coldwellbanker.com and ERA.com. Additionally, Homes.com is the second-largest traffic source to ERA.com, ahead of Bing and Yahoo! Search.

In addition to being the leader in traffic sent to top franchise sites, Homes.com ranks ahead of all other real estate search sites for visit time (time spent on site by user), and #3 in page views while ranking #6 in overall visits, according to the latest statistics posted by Hitwise for March 2011.

“The recent statistics from Hitwise validate that Homes.com is attracting a higher quality consumer than our competitors,” said Jason Doyle, vice-president of Homes.com. Doyle added, “Our visitors are clearly more engaged and serious about making a home purchase, and that is ultimately where the rubber hits the road with our partners. This type of divergent data should emphasize for advertisers the importance of making investment decisions based on real results rather than which site has the most visitors.” Continue reading
